We are already halfway through September, and business has continued as usual.

It has been a wonderfully busy Summer in Sotogrande.

Sotogrande Exclusive has welcomed many new customers, and of course, we have met with our loyal, regular clients. As a result, this Summer has boasted a fantastic number of bookings, mainly Spanish tourists, due to global COVID restrictions.

Even though the summer holidays have ended, holiday rentals continue into September. It goes without saying that September is a perfect month for holidaying. Idyllic temperatures, max. 28 degrees, perfect weather to play golf, horse riding, hiking and the beaches are yours.

October will be very exciting. The Estrella Damm NA Andalucía Masters is coming again to Europe’s premier golf course Valderrama. A four-day tournament, the best golfers of the world will be congregating at the Valderrama golf course in Sotogrande, from October 14^th till October 17^th.  We expect quite some visitors, our holiday rental properties are continuously being booked. In November our company will support an amazing charity gala in The Netherlands, in favor of the Dirk Kuyt Foundation. Former Dutch professional football player Dirk Kuyt started the foundation in 2005. Their aim is to make sporting more inclusive and accessible to those with disabilities. The successful series “The Crown”, produced by Netflix, is filming different scenes in the area of ​​Valle del Guadiaro and Sotogrande (Av. Paseo del Parque), which will be part of the stage of the third season.

Orion Capital Managers, LLP (“Orion”) and Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. (“Cerberus”) today announced that Orion’s European Real Estate Fund IV acquired the remaining 50 percent of Sotogrande Luxco currently owned by an affiliate of Cerberus.

Orion is now the sole shareholder of Sotogrande Luxco, owning c.99 percent of Sotogrande SA, the main shareholder of the business. It is envisaged that Sotogrande Luxco will launch a delisting takeover bid over the Sotogrande shares.

This transaction marks the beginning of the second phase of Sotogrande SA’s redevelopment and repositioning plan, which focuses on making the property, including its high-end private community, La Reserva Club, a luxury destination of choice within Southern Europe.

Orion is committed to delivering extensive common amenities and infrastructure work to its residents and guests, while also pursuing the development of the first luxury villa community on El Mirador.

MORE than a quarter of Spain’s top 100 golf courses can be found on the Costa del Sol.

A total of 27 courses along the coast made the grade in the new list published by UK guide Top 100 Golf Courses.

In fact, four out of the top six are found along the Costa del Sol, with Sotogrande’s El Real Club de Golf positioned second overall.

They were only beaten by Costa Brava-based course PGA Cataluyna which came top of the lot.

Valderrama Golf Club came in third place with Finca Cortesin and Las Brisas positioned fifth and sixth respectively.

Also in the top 20 were La Reserva de Sotogrande, The San Roque Club, Aloha Golf, Santana Golf and Los Naranjos Golf.
